BMW 5-Speed Transmission R65 R75 R80 R90 R100 R80GS R100GS
Fully rebuilt 5 speed transmission that came out of a 1979 BMW R100. Completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt using quality parts when needed. Any part out of specification or with excessive wear has been replaced. Below you will find a full list of service, upgrades, and parts replaced. Parts have been lubricated with assembly lube to keep from oxidizing.
All 6 shaft bearings.
Shifter mechanism nylon roller with sealed bearing (This is an excellent upgrade. Smoothes shifting and far slower wear.)
Return Spring for shifter mechanism.
All seals
Properly shined with new shims to get correct end play.
Bushing for 1st gear on output shaft
Throw out bearing for clutch.
Throw out races
Throw out rubber boot
Clutch spring
Clutch piston and seal
Push rod and felt seal
Lever and plugs have been cad plated as they should be
New seals for drain and fill
Gear sets are in excellent condition. Free of chips or cracks.
Proper gear clearance
Assembled with proper lubrication.
Output flange torqued to 160lbs with dry assembly.
Case has been cleaned in a hot tank and by hand to achieve proper patina. Not sand blasted.
Old unit can be returned for a core refund. Amount will depend on condition.
